About Erinn Construction
Erinn Construction, Inc. was established in 1979 by the husband and wife team of Thomas P. Flanagan and Judith A. Sabella.

Over the past 33 years Erinn Construction has restored historic homes, constructed additions, remodeled homes, retrofitted homes for clients who want to stay in their homes as they age, and converted small apartment buildings into condominiums in Northwest Washington and Montgomery County, Maryland.

Our company is well versed in historic preservation work and has received four Preservation Achievement Awards from the Cleveland Park Historical Society.

Our work has also been featured in the Washington Post Home Section and in Renovation Style magazine.

Erinn Construction has a full time crew of six that executes all phases of each project except for mechanical. Mechanical work is subcontracted out to companies that meet our standards for excellence and have enjoyed a long working relationship with us.

Erinn Construction’s head carpenter has more than twenty-five years of experience and has been with the company since 1984. Two other employees have been with the company for over eighteen years, and all have been trained by VP Thomas Flanagan in the various aspects of construction. The remainder of our crew has been with us for over ten years.

President Judith Sabella served on the Cleveland Park Architectural Review Committee for five years and was chair of this committee for three years. During this time she worked extensively with DC Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) staff on the rigorous review and approval process for homeowners and businesses seeking to change their historic residences and buildings.

Judith Sabella has prepared and presented written and oral testimony in local arbitration cases. She was also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Edmund Burke School, located in northwest Washington. In this capacity she worked with the school, its legal and architectural teams, and the school community to garner support for the school’s effort to build a new building.
